A minimalist family residence perched on a steep sloping site with framed views of the surrounding neighborhood in an upmarket housing estate.
The upper ground floor consisting of 3 living areas where the family room with a cantilevered private balcony is sheltered from the streetscape by means of sliding timber screens for privacy from the street below is seperated by a 3 storey sclupted concrete stair clad exterally with packed stone walls adjacent to an open plan dining room a kitchen and hidden scullery connected to a large covered patio space leading out onto the pool deck garden court and open air boma with fire pit and outdoor seating area for entertainment with the living spaces interconnected to an intimate cinema room alongside a guest bathroom leading to a guest bedroom suite elevated above a single staff quarters alongside a 4 car garage including a
storage space on street level.
Three large sized en-suite family bedrooms each with their own private balconies including a study space overlooking the pool terrace are positioned in tandem with a seperating

The architecture follows simple rectalinear forms consisting of off-shutter concrete, packed stone walls, smooth plaster walls and timber cladding on the exterior facades layerd in 3 different levels to accommodate the steep slope of the building site creating an intimate entertainment courtyard hidden from street view on three sides but allowing for abundant
views as well as a north to south exposure from all the living and bedroom spaces.
The large cast concrete roof plane on the upper most level alows ample area for an array of solar PV panles for renewable energy generation and water heating for the
entire structure making for an efficientally off-grid building model for modern family living with low carbon footprint to the environment.
