A modern minimalist residence perched on a hill-top site with exspansive views.
The building form consists of two linear programs stacked horizontally where the lower ground floor houses the main living spaces + utility areas, guest suite, home office and double vehicle garage. All living areas are adjacent the terraced pool deck and garden court.
The upper floor program with large open air look-out verandah deck partially roofed with direct access from the ground level allows for an expanded perched elevated view down a hilly valley and river to the north of the site.
A private master suite alongside a multimedia lounge space situated with direct verandah access finds itself to the upper floor level program.
The linear off-shutter concrete tectonic structure and large glazing facade is broken by smooth plastered panels and a natural packed stone textured element which is softened with vertical natural timber cladded inserted sections to the exterior facades brings about the modernist architecture.
Living area layout forms are kept simple and un-cluttered in open plan format through-out the structure allowing clear view from the indoor to the outdoor program in keeping with a less-is-more design approach.
